Brief history
Cresques Abraham (city of Mallorca ? - 1381) was a Jewish Majorcan cartographer. He produced compasses, clocks and nautical instruments. Protected by the kings Pere III, Joan I and Martí I, he left a relevant series of geographical charts, some as notorious as the “Catalan Atlas” of 1375.
